Bais Rivkah Celebrates Dedication of New Building

Yesterday, the Bais Rivkah community gathered to celebrate the dedication of the new Seminary building, dedicated in honor of the Rebbe and Rebbetzin. More than the opening of a new building, the occasion marked a significant milestone in the story of Bais Rivkah and the continued growth of the Rebbe’s vision for Jewish girls’ education.
That vision has been at the heart of Bais Rivkah since its earliest days. In 1960, the Seminary began with just ten girls. Sixty years later, 226 students learn in the Seminary, and generations of its alumnae have gone on to become Shluchos, educators, teachers, and leaders, building Jewish communities in more than 3,180 cities and college campuses worldwide.
Today, nearly 3,000 students learn across Bais Rivkah's six departments. Since 2020 alone, Bais Rivkah has purchased 68,573 square feet of additional space to accommodate its growing student body and continue expanding the Rebbe’s vision for the education of Jewish women.
The new Seminary building is another important step in that journey. It provides a beautiful new home for the next generation of young women who will follow in the footsteps of the countless Shluchos and leaders who came before them.
The new building is located at 461 East New York Avenue in Crown Heights. The property was purchased in October 2025 for nearly $10 million, with approximately $800,000 budgeted for renovations.
The program featured remarks from Rabbi Freundlich, Rabbi Goldstein, Morah Gorowitz, Rabbi Dinnerman, Rabbi Garelik, and Mrs. Gorowitz, who shared words in honor of the occasion and the significance of this special milestone.
The celebration continued with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, officially marking the opening of the new building. Afterwards, guests were invited inside to tour the new facilities and explore the spaces that will soon be filled with the Torah learning, growth, and energy of Seminary girls.
The lobby was dedicated in honor of Mrs. Fruma Junik, who was deeply devoted to the Rebbe and dedicated her life to the outreach and advancement of Jewish women through her work as a past president of N'shei Chabad.
It was wonderful to see such a beautiful turnout and to have so many members of the community come together for this special occasion. Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to support Bais Rivkah as we celebrate this exciting new chapter!
From ten girls to generations of Shluchos, from a small beginning to a worldwide impact, the new Seminary building is only the start of many more incredible things to come.
