CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn — Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch, the yeshiva at 770 Eastern Parkway, has purchased a building at 1277 Lincoln Place in Crown Heights for $4.8 million, marking another step in the institution’s continued growth and expansion.
According to published real estate records, the transaction closed in late June 2026. The property is a three-story residential building originally constructed in 1908, spanning approximately 7,308 square feet.
The building has been in use as a dormitory since the beginning of 2026 and currently houses approximately 70 bochurim. The acquisition provides additional accommodations for students learning at 770, as the yeshiva continues to address the growing need for housing in Crown Heights.
The purchase comes amid overcrowding at the yeshiva’s existing dormitory at 1414 President Street, where available space has become a challenge as the institution accommodates its student population.
The reported purchase price works out to approximately $657 per square foot. Public real estate records classify the building as a multifamily residential property with six residential units.
The acquisition reflects the ongoing investment required to support the needs of the bochurim learning at Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch. With approximately 70 students already residing at the Lincoln Place property, the building has become an additional part of the yeshiva’s dormitory network, providing much-needed housing as the institution continues to grow.
